The Promise
Premise
Reviled Vampire King “Mad” Louis Marate is dead. For Jack, an orphaned were-puma, his adopted tribe of werewolves has entrusted him with the mission of locating, and assassinating the Mad King’s human heir. With little knowledge of human society, Jack must venture to San Francisco for the sake of keeping his tribe safe.
Sevon Marate was unaware of his supernatural heritage. As a solitary creature he maintained the facade of being a hard working college student while paying his rent with a lucrative internet pandering business. For Sevon’s clients, nothing was off limits and nothing was taboo.
When Sevon made the shocking discovery that one of his clientele was doing far more than just watching the teen in erotic scenarios, he feels trapped, and had to face the reality of his whorish ways.
When the former King’s Royal Guard, the Armigers, come to steal their new liege off into the night, Jack intervenes and takes Sevon as his hostage.
What follows is a dangerous tale of forbidden love and what happens when true love is threatened by outsiders that don’t understand. Jack must choose between his mission to his people or his infatuation with the royal heir. Sevon is challenged with the difficulties of leaving behind all he knows for his destiny of leading a race that he understands to be wretched and vile.
The Promise is a story with a timeless message what it is to love amidst a clash of cultures, and how to persevere despite the staunch opposition. The Promise is a Erotic Paranormal Romance with homosexual themes appropriate for mature audiences 18 years of age and over.
