About the Author
Hi! I’m Megs and I run this good ship. I’m a writer with an artistic bent, I used to want to draw comics for a living, but realized my heart was in stringing superfluous syllables together. In fact, in interviews for studio positions, when I was asked what I saw myself as I would respond, “I’m a storyteller.” Perhaps that should have been my clue. I write and draw under many handles and pseudonyms such as Westbaylen, Morgan Chase, MAC, Mari, and Morgan Glasscock.
At current, I’m studying Journalism at the University of West Florida to get the piece of paper, and perhaps a paying gig, even if independent journalism is what I do anyway. In my spare time, which I have in vast supply, I actually treat creative writing as my Real Job™. Complete with daily and weekly goals as well as ultimate deadlines for drafts, getting my stories out of my brain keeps me very busy.
Genres I write include Sci-Fi, Paranormal, Superhero, Romance, Erotica, and Alternate History– often in the same story. A majority of my stories are not meant for anyone under the age of 18, though one of these days I might actually spit out a honest to god squeaky clean YA book. Also a lot of my protagonists/couples in my work are gay males, though I have written straight couples as well as lesbians. Gay males are currently my focus and if this bothers you then this site is not for you.
Besides writing I’m also co-founder and assistant baker to my brother Jeremy with our fledgling internet bakery, Renegade Baker. Jeremy is a culinary student at Pensacola State College getting formal training while my style of baking comes from picking it up from our mother and Food Network. We try not to clash in our ideals but siblings will be siblings.
